Texas baseball: As Longhorns beat Missouri, Aiden Robbins exits with an illness

Aiden Robbins started for Texas in Friday's 10-0 win over Missouri but was pulled ahead of the third inning. A team spokesperson later said that Robbins was sidelined by an illness.

Texas outfielder Aiden Robbins worked a short shift at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Friday night. Robbins started for the Texas baseball team in an 11-6 win over Missouri at UFCU Disch-Falk Field , but the third-year outfielder and leadoff hitter was pulled from the game ahead of the third inning. Robbins recorded a first-inning strikeout against the Tigers and did not get any defensive opportunities in right field.

Texas coach Jim Schlossnagle told reporters after the game that he was unsure if Robbins would play in the Longhorns' regular-season finale on Saturday.

"We'll kind of monitor him through tonight, and I don't know if he'll play again this weekend," Schlossnagle said. "No injury, he's just pretty sick. (He) started feeling bad during (batting practice), and then was feeling better leading up to the game, and got worse once he got out there and started moving around.
