A'ja Wilson's 45-point night propels Aces over Suns
It's the 5th time in Wilson's career that she's put up a 40-plus point performance, breaking a WNBA record.
It didn’t take many games in the 2026 season for the four-time MVP to start putting on a show. Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson keeps making history, putting up 45 points in a 101-94 win over the Connecticut Sun on Friday. The stellar showing was the fifth time in Wilson’s career that she’s put up 40-plus points in one game.
As a result, Wilson breaks an WNBA record that she had previously shared with Breanna Stewart and Diana Taurasi. MAKE THAT 45 PTS FOR THE 4X M'VP 🔥 LVA-CON | League Pass | #WNBASeason30Tap to watch: https://t. co/p8WjqdUVio https://t.

She becomes the first player in WNBA history to record multiple games with 45 or more points. On Friday, Wilson’s latest monster performance propelled the Aces over the Sun, who fought against Las Vegas’ lead in the second half but simply couldn’t overcome it.
Postgame, Wilson was pretty humble about the big game, saying that she was “patient” in finding her shots. “When you’re able to find shots within our system, and just letting the flow of the game take over, that’s big to me. I want to be efficient.
