Atlanta Braves manager Walt Weiss made a decision on right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. on Friday.

Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. has been sidelined since May 2 after suffering a left hamstring strain while running to first base in a game against the Colorado Rockies. Acuna had stayed healthy up until that point appearing in every game of the season prior to the setback, but unfortunately this is another year in which injuries have become part of his story.

Throughout his nine seasons in Atlanta, he has spent significant time on the injured list. He has torn the ACL in both knees, requiring two lengthy absences, and has also dealt with several smaller injuries along the way. Even so, Acuna has been working to ensure this latest setback does not keep him out long.

He has been seen participating in batting practice and running full sprints in the outfield, signs that his return could be approaching.
