The meet resumes on Saturday with all classifications competing, with over 10 hours of finals. There was one new classification state record set on Friday, as Mountain View’s 4x800 relay team posted a time of 7:49. 18, eclipsing Stansbury’s record-time of 7:52.

27 from a year ago. Pine View’s Kiera Sam Fong was one of the standouts of the meet on Friday, as she won both the 4A shot put and discus. Most of the events on the track were heats as runners tried to qualify for Saturday’s event finals.

In the 3A girls 3,200 race on Friday morning, Ogden’s Avery Barton and Carbon’s Rozlyn Stowe had a terrific race, with Barton winning by just 1. 21 seconds. Barton also narrowly missed the 3A record by 1.
