Monroe County Region high school sports roundup for Thursday and Friday, May 14-25. FRIDAY’S TOP PERFORMERS BOYS TRACK AND FIELD Orion Galloway, Jefferson, Cameron Crane , New Boston Huron, and Jacob Stanislawski, Flat Rock: Both won events at the Division 2 Regional at Chelsea. Galloway ruled the 800 with a season-best 1:59.

29 and Stanislawski went 9:36. 78 in the 3,200. He was also second in the 1,600.

Crane soared to 12-8 in the pole vault. Anthony Tamrahkyarov of Airport placed second in the 200, third in the 100 and ran on the second-place 400 relay with Jay’len Strong, Damien Luft and Mason Stoneburner. Braeden Letette of Milan (high hurdles), Luke Bishop (Dundee) and Braxton Ellison (long jump) also were second.

Zane Knezevich of Jefferson qualified for state in the 200 and as part of the 800 relay. The 400 relay also made it to state. Relay members were Grant Hakeos, Alex Brown, Zy'Rell Henley, Drake Jones, Maddex Shotwell, Alex Brown and Josh Hargreaves.
