PGA Championship 2026: Bryson DeChambeau MCs (again) and six other big names who will miss the weekend
DeChambeau has not missed back-to-back major cuts since 2017.
When Bryson DeChambeau missed the cut at last month's Masters—rather violently, we might add—it felt like a blip. This was a guy who had finished inside the top 10 in six of his last eight majors, including a win and two runners-up. But after two brutal days at the 2026 PGA Championship—DeChambeau shot 76 Thursday and 71 Friday to finish at seven over—it seems he has some issues to work through.
Friday marked the first time DeChambeau missed consecutive cuts in majors championships since 2017, when he missed the cut at Erin Hills in the U. S. Open and then again at the British Open at Royal Birkdale.
He has never missed three in a row, a feat he'll hope to avoid at next month's U. S. Open at Shinnecock.
The last time the U. S. Open was held there in 2018, DeChambeau tied for 25th.
