Two Kernels claim individual ESD middle school track titles in Pierre

May 15—PIERRE — Mitchell's Kynslee Tronnes and Nova Long were champions at the Eastern South Dakota Conference middle school track and field meet Friday at Hollister Field. Tronnes, a Kernel seventh-grader, won the 800-meter run in a personal-best time of 2:25. 96, setting a new meet record, besting the mark from Harrisburg's Bria Miller from 2022 (2:27.
