Warriors' Stephen Curry continues to covet another championship
Stephen Curry has his sights set on a fifth NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors
In recent years, the Golden State Warriors have been trying to build another contending roster around Stephen Curry. Unfortunately, things haven't been going according to plan. Nevertheless, Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob are expected to continue reshuffling the roster until they find a winning formula.
After all, Curry is in the final stages of his career and will undoubtedly want to go out on a high note. According to Brett Seigel of ClutchPoints, Curry has reiterated his desire to continue contending for championships, as he aims to secure a fifth ring and place his name among some of the greatest players to ever lace them up. “Not to mention, Curry has also made it clear that he wants to win at least one more championship, which would put him in a category with greats like Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, and other legends as the only players in league history to win at least five championships with the same organization," Siegel reported .
In fairness, Golden State has consistently made moves to try to position Curry for success. The addition of Jimmy Butler is the perfect example of the franchise's commitment to giving its star guard the best possible chance of contending. Nevertheless, Golden State will likely look to make some additional moves this summer.
After all, with each passing season, Curry is one step closer to retirement, and that means there has to be a sense of urgency involved. This post originally appeared on Warriors Wire ! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter !
