The class of 2027 already has 14 commitments in it, with five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller leading the way as the No. 3 overall recruit, per Rivals. Sumrall already has two top-100 commitments in this class, doubling what Napier secured in the 2026 class before he was fired.
Four-Star WR Elias Pearl Pearl is another target from the state of Florida, residing in Port Charlotte less than 200 miles from Gainesville. The Rivalsโ Industry Ranking ranks Pearl as the 95th overall recruit and the 17th-best wide receiver in the 2027 class. Florida has two wide receivers committed in the 2027 class, including four-star Tramond Collins and four-star Anthony Jennings .
