He got an eagle, instead. The British golfer has been renowned for his consistency across his near-30-year professional career. He has 13 PGA Tour wins under his belt.

And while his trophy cabinet is largely bereft of major tournament honors, he does have a U. S. Open as well as five runner-up finishes in Grand Slam events.

Following another top-three showing at the Masters, some had Rose earmarked as a potential dark horse ahead of this year's PGA Championship in Aronimink. Rose kept things clean in the first round of tournament play. In the second, he unraveled, threatening to fall out of the competition entirely.
