Rushing went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts on Thursday, May 14, showing clear frustration after his final two at-bats as he smacked his head multiple times with his bat. During his three at-bats, Rushing first struck out against Landen Roupp in the second inning with runners on second and third.

Following his return to the dugout, cameras caught him slamming a bat into his helmet before burying his face in his hands and shouting. Meanwhile, a broadcast camera showed his Dodgers teammates Emmet Sheehan, Justin Wrobleski and Tommy Edman exchanging glances and trying to stifle laughter at their catcher’s reaction.
