Purdue adds 5-star, 7-foot big man to 2027 recruiting class

•Yahoo Sports

The Boilermakers received a commitment for a potential difference maker in the class of 2027.

Purdue head coach Matt Painter has a history of deploying talented big men with the Boilermakers, and may have just found his next anchor in the paint. The Indianapolis Star reports that heralded center prospect Isaiah Hill has committed to Purdue. He's a consensus top-15 prospect who commands the paint and brings a potentially game-changing defensive presence to the Boilermakers.

Hill averaged a sensational 4. 6 blocks at Pike last season and figures to be one of the most feared shot-blockers in the class of 2027. While Painter has worked with the likes of Zach Edey, Caleb Swanigan and Isaac Haas in the past, Hill is Painter's highest-ranked recruit and has a chance to put his name at the top of the list.
