High school girls golf: 5A region recaps 2026, Cyprus, Bonneville, Skyline and Wasatch win region titles

Cyprus, Bonneville, Skyline and Wasatch won their respective region championships and will each be in the hunt for the 5A state title.

Woods Cross is the defending state champ having won its first-ever state title a year ago. The Wildcats finished third in Region 6 this year behind Skyline and Brighton. Skyline (314.

8) and Brighton (327) and the two lowest scoring averages in 5A this season and will be the top contenders at state. The low golfers in each 3A region were Cyprusโ€™ Taylor Fresh (88. 4), Bonnevilleโ€™s Whitni Johnson (75.

23), Brightonโ€™s Cade Cook (73. 7) and Salem Hillsโ€™ Navy Hubbs (70). Johnson is the reigning 5A medalist as she finished four strokes better than runner-up Hubbs a year ago at Glendale Golf Course.
