Nuno Santo says only one West Ham player is missing for Newcastle clash
Nuno Santo says only one West Ham player is missing for Newcastle clash West Ham manager Nuno Santo says only Adama Traore is out injured ahead of the crunch game against Newcastle United this weekend. The Hammers are currently 18th and two points behind Tottenham with only two games remaining. On the team news, Santo said: โWe have Adama (Traore) who is out for this game, but the rest of the squad is good.
He was not available for Arsenal, and heโll miss this one. โ Traore has only played 12 times for West Ham since joining on a free transfer from Fulham in January. With only games against Newcastle and Leeds left to go, and just two points between West Ham and Tottenham, Santo was acutely aware that the relegation battle will go right down to the wire.
โWe knew a while ago it would go down to the wire. What we have to do is compete well against Newcastle, so we still have a chance. They are a very good team, and itโs going to be tough.
But we are ready, and we have belief. โI think they (players) trust our decisions and search for solutions, but we know itโs up to them. Weโre going to try to find out everything about Newcastle, and give everything we can to get the right result.
