Don't cry because it's over. But smile because the final week of the regular season featured some of the gutsiest performances of the softball season . Check out last week's top performances from softball fields across the Phillyburbs, then vote for the final Softball Player of the Week , beginning Friday at 6 p.

m. These players closed out the season with standout performances Not every team can make the playoffs, but that doesn't make their games any less important. These players gave it their all to end the season on a positive note with hope for the future.

Sophia Dever, Abington Dever hit a double and a triple against Hatboro-Horsham, scoring two runs and driving in one; against Upper Dublin, she had another double and drove in the Ghosts’ lone run. Natalie Sigda, Morrisville The pitcher struck out 13 batters through five innings of work, giving up just three hits to secure a 14-4 victory over Lincoln Leadership in Morrisville’s final game of the year. At the plate, she was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two walks.

Bella Pistilli, Gwynedd Mercy The freshman was exceptional against Dock Mennonite, giving up two hits and two walks while striking out 14 in a complete-game shutout. Against Lansdale Catholic, Pistilli struck out 15 through five innings, giving up two hits and two walks in another shutout win. In a three-inning victory over Delco Christian, she struck out nine while not allowing a hit, helping the Monarchs win three of their last five games.
