There was so much hype and mania surrounding the drafting of Travis Hunter from Colorado a year ago, and his rookie campaign was cut short in practice after seven games.
The two-way star had a mild first go-around the NFL, but many believe that will change in the sophomore year. At wide receiver and corner, Hunter is expected to be more of a focal point in 2026. In fact, Alex Kay of Bleacher Report listed him as on the way to stardom.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to need that to happen, as they were a powerhouse in 2025 at 13-4. The AFC South champions did all of that without Hunter for most of it. Now imagine having him completely healthy and an offseason under him.
2026 could feature another surprise team, much like the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks , and the Jags could be them. But, that only happens if Hunter can have a full season of reps, on both sides of the ball. Hunter has all the makings of a game-changing player, and with more experience, it could be easier for him to excel at both ends of the ball.
