Chris Suero | (Photo: Sam Navarro-Imagn Images) Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (21-20) SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 11, SYRACUSE 3 ( BOX ) Well, coming off a stretch of much better results, Jonah Tong had his second truly awful outing of the 2026 season as Syracuse was blown out by the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate. Six of the seven runs that Tong allowed were earned, and he recorded just five outs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre scored their remaining four runs immediately after his departure to really put the game out of reach.

But Somerset got back in front immediately with a run in the bottom of the inning, the Rumble Ponies didn’t score the rest of the way, and the Patriots tacked on an insurance run in the seventh. Jonathan Santucci gave up four runs in five innings, but two of them were unearned.
