High school baseball, softball, soccer, golf and tennis teams were in action.
BASEBALL Kimberly 4, Appleton North 1 APPLETON - The Papermakers scored three runs in the seventh inning to break a 1-1 deadlock in their Fox Valley Association win over the Lightning. The win improves Kimberly to 12-1 in conference play and 15-1 overall. Appleton North falls to 7-6 in the FVA and 11-7 overall.
Kimberly, which finished with eight hits, got two hits from Ryan Halfmann with Maddux Hermus driving in two runs. Bryce Mischler pitched a complete game for Kimberly, allowing one run on six hits and one walk. He struck out six.
VOTE NOW: Choose from six nominees for Cellcom Post-Crescent athlete of the week Aedan Waterstreet had two hits, including a double, and drove in Appleton Northโs run. Owen Reuland also had two hits for Appleton North. Isaak LโEsperance allowed three runs in the seventh inning and took the loss for Appleton North.
Colin Reddy pitched six innings for Appleton North and allowed one unearned run on five hits and two walks while striking out nine. Neenah 4, Oshkosh West 0 OSHKOSH - Cal Juckem pitched a complete game to lead the Rockets to the Fox Valley Association win over the Wildcats. Juckem allowed three hits, walked one and struck out 13 batters.
