High school baseball, softball, soccer, tennis and golf teams were in action.
BASEBALL Green Bay Preble 3, De Pere 0 GREEN BAY - Will VanBoxel pitched a no-hitter to lead the Hornets to the Fox River Classic Conference win over the Redbirds. VanBoxel walked just one batter and struck out six for Green Bay Preble. Green Bay Preble scored twice in the first and once in the fourth in the win.
Everett Sachs had two hits, including a double, for Green Bay Preble. Charles Buysse pitched five innings and took the loss for De Pere, allowing three runs on eight hits. Seymour 15, Menasha 8 MENASHA - The Thunder scored seven runs in the first three innings and seven more in the sixth and seventh innings to defeat the Bluejays, who committed eight errors.
Seymour got two hits from Nolan Beilfuss, Caden Steffens, Jordan Thompson and Xavier Salzman. Cayden Staffeldt drove in three runs. Beilfuss drove in two runs while Steffens scored four runs.
Carson Staffeldt scored three runs. Salzman pitched 2⅓ innings and got the win for Seymour. Shawano 14, Green Bay East/West 2 SHAWANO - The Hawks scored eight runs in the first inning and cruised to the win over the Red Devils.
