There are NFL schedule release videos. And then there is Trevor Lawrence apparently detonating one of the most recognizable hairstyles in professional sports. The Jacksonville Jaguars completely hijacked Thursday night’s NFL schedule release chaos by dropping a video that appeared to show Lawrence chopping off his famous flowing blonde hair, the same hair that has basically become part of his football identity since high school.
Seriously, for a few seconds, it looked like the NFL version of a celebrity breakup announcement. “Man, I’ve been wanting this cut for a long time,” Lawrence said while sitting in a barber chair as long blonde hair appeared to fall dramatically onto the floor. Naturally, NFL fans immediately lost their minds.
