However, the way the schedule plays out, it would be easy to move Carson Beck in as a starter, barring injuries to Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew, for the final four games of the 2026 season. While four games may not be enough to truly evaluate Beck, where on the schedule could the Cardinals conceivably drop him in and it not be in the “tough part of the schedule”? The late bye is what I was concerned about.
This is a season where the Cardinals more than ever needed a week 9-11 bye week, so they could get Beck enough starts to make a proper evaluation. However, if you do it after the bye week, that is easily the softest part of the schedule (on paper).
