Predicting Colts' final record after 2026 NFL schedule release

Yahoo Sports

With the full 2026 NFL schedule now revealed, let's make a game-by-game record prediction for the Colts.

Now that we know what the Indianapolis Colts' complete 2026 NFL schedule looks like, let's make a very early game-by-game record prediction. The top priority for the Colts this offseason was re-signing quarterback Daniel Jones in free agency. The belief internally is that the success Jones and the team had through 10 games can be replicated and sustained in 2026.

However, while Jones is returning, this wasn't a run-it-back offseason for GM Chris Ballard. A fair amount of roster turnover has taken place. In total, Ballard would make 10 outside free agent signings, while also acquiring Colby Wooden in a trade.

Several of the Colts' own free agents signed elsewhere, while Zaire Franklin and Michael Pittman were traded away, and Kenny Moore was released. The Colts also made eight additions in the NFL draft, with both draft analysts and a few NFL execs believing that Indianapolis did quite well for themselves. Ballard also signed 12 undrafted rookies.

But the big question still hanging over this team is, will all this change yield the results that the Colts are looking for? That remains to be seen. Presumably, it's now or never for Ballard.
