Yahoo Sports

The Ontario Warriors now have 38 home runs on the season surpassing the 2023 team's record of 35.

The 2026 Ontario Warriors are historic. With three home runs in their 7-3 Division III sectional championship victory over Sandusky on May 14, the Warriors pushed their team home run total to 38 surpassing the long-ball hitting 2023 squad that previously owned the program record for home runs in a season with 35. Super sophomore Ellie Dawson’s first-inning two-run homer broke the tie and Brinlee Kreger and Lillian Gray added one home run apiece to continue pushing past the 2023 team.

” In 2023, Taylor Mullins crushed 13 home runs, which still stands as the single-season home run record, while Joslynn Frazier smashed 12 as the two combined for 25. Kylie Snow had three, Eden Howard and Alex Switaj had two apiece and Autumn Taylor, Trista Jewell and Olivia Kreger had one apiece. Ontario coach Jamie Burke sees those girls as great role models for her Warriors.

“It is fantastic,” Burke said. “When you think about the team that held that record and the girls who were on that team like Joselynn Frazier and Taylor Mullins and the entire team making it to regionals, they inspire us. We would love to repeat history and take after the example they set.
