Brazil confirm Carlo Ancelotti contract extension until 2030 With the agreement already in place since the beginning of the year, the CBF officially announced on Thursday that Carlo Ancelotti has extended his contract with the Brazil national football team through to the 2030 FIFA World Cup 2030. “A year ago I arrived in Brazil. From the very first moment, I understood what football means to this country.
Over the past year, we have worked hard to take Brazil back to the top of world football. But the CBF and I want more. More victories, more time, more work.
We are delighted to announce that we will continue together for another four years. Let’s go all the way to the 2030 World Cup. I want to thank the CBF for their trust.
Thank you, Brazil, for the warm welcome and all the affection,” Ancelotti said in a statement released by the CBF. Ahead of the World Cup, Ancelotti and CBF president Samir Xaud had already confirmed that talks over extending the Italian’s stay were at an advanced stage. Since taking charge of Brazil, Ancelotti has overseen 10 matches, recording five wins, two draws and three defeats.
