Raiders’ Kirk Cousins could move past John Elway in passing TD's in 2026
Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins is within striking distance to pass Hall of Fame QB John Elway on the NFL’s all-time passing touchdowns list in 2026.
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins is on the verge of passing Hall of Fame QB John Elway on the NFL’s all-time passing touchdowns list. Cousins is approaching his 15th season in the league having been one of the most prolific passers for the better part of the last decade. Cousins currently ranks No.
15 in NFL history in passing TDs with 298. He needs three passing touchdowns in 2026 to pass Elway (300) for No. 14 all-time.
Circumstances will be the largest determining factor for Cousins in passing Elway on the all-time list. Cousins will be in a position battle with Fernando Mendoza — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft — to be the Raiders ’ starting quarterback next season.
In the event that Cousins is able to string together several starts, either to begin next season or as a replacement for Mendoza midway through the year, he will have a great chance to pass Elway on the list. Cousins has averaged at least one passing TD per game in each of the last 12 seasons.
