Former Seahawks, Vikings quarterback announces immediate retirement from NFL at 28
Former Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings quarterback Jaren Hall announced his retirement from the NFL in an Instagram post May 13 . Hall, 28, spent the 2024 season on the Seahawks’ practice squad, and was promoted to their active roster in 2025, but did not appear in a regular season game. A fifth-round draft pick by the Minnesota Vikings out of BYU in 2023, Hall started two games as a rookie after veteran signal-caller Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles.

“There’s a lot I could say, but mostly I just feel grateful,” Hall wrote on Instagram . “Sports have been woven into nearly every part of my life — they’ve challenged me, humbled me, shaped my faith, introduced me to lifelong friendships, and given me experiences I never could have imagined. “From growing up in this community, to representing my hometown, to having the opportunity to play in the NFL, it has all been a blessing,” he continued.
