Primetime! Seahawks to host Chiefs on ‘Sunday Night Football’

On Thursday, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that the Seahawks will be hosting the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7 .
The news comes two days after Kansas City’s Week 1 opponent was revealed , and one day following official word on Seattle’s opponent for this season’s kickoff game . However, Kansas City struggled throughout the year, sitting at 5-4 during its bye week and losing seven of its last eight games, including six consecutive losses to close out the season. This was the Chiefs’ first missed postseason since 2014 and their first losing record since 2012, the team’s worst showing of Andy Reid’s 13-year tenure as head coach. In the midst of Kansas City’s losing skid, Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL against the Chargers in Week 14, ending his season with four games to play.
