She is usually linked to the NFL through her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, which has kept her around football headlines. Now, a funny connection with Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has shifted the conversation into the NBA in an unexpected fashion.
Steve Kerr mentioned Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” lyrics in press conferences for a year Photo by David Berding/Getty Images According to ESPN, Kerr spent the 2022-23 season slipping lyrics from Swift’s “All Too Well” into his press conference answers without anyone noticing. The Warriors boss used the challenge to entertain himself during media duties, weaving phrases smoothly into basketball responses after games. One example came after a March 2023 win over the Rockets, when Kerr worked the song’s opening line into a halftime answer, by saying: “I walked through the door of the locker room at halftime.
” Across the season, he crossed off lyrics as he used them, gradually building a hidden tribute that remained unnoticed publicly. Kerr’s son Matthew later edited the clips together for a family group chat, making it appear as though his father had recited the full song. Taylor Swift was stunned by Steve Kerr’s hidden stunt Swift eventually saw the compilation through a mutual friend and was amazed, asking whether the footage was actually real.
Afterwards, she reportedly found the stunt “creative and funny,” and even asked whether she could share it publicly, but Kerr’s team preferred not to approve the request.
