Local radio host Michael Felger claimed a source told him not to be surprised if the Red Sox acquired Trout from the Los Angeles Angels. Bleacher Report's Jon Heyman declared Wednesday that there's only about a 5 percent chance the Angels trade Trout before the Aug.
3 deadline. Heyman believes Angels owner Arte Moreno loves Trout and would like the three-time MVP to finish his career there. Furthermore, Heyman isn't sure the 34-year-old would waive his no-trade clause.
"I am pretty doubtful that he'd go, so that's why I'm gonna put a low number on it," Heyman said. "I wouldn't rule it out. " The Red Sox wouldn't necessarily be the top destination either.
