Report: Sixers' Daryl Morey attempted trade for Brandin Podziemski
The now ex-Sixers President of Basketball Operations reportedly attempted to trade for Golden State's former first round pick.
As the Golden State Warriors have an answer on a key position on the bench with Steve Kerr set to return to the sideline as head coach for the 2026-27 season, the Philadelphia 76ers will now face a search for a major role in their front office. After getting bounced in the second round of the postseason by way of a sweep by the New York Knicks , the Sixers have decided to part ways with longtime President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey. Before his time in Philadelphia came to an end, Morey attempted to trade for multiple players, with one of them being a member of the Warriors.
According to Adam Aronson of The Philly Voice, Morey and the Sixers unsuccessfully attempted to trade for Warriors third-year guard Brandin Podziemski . Along with Podziemski, the Sixers also made trade offers for Dallas Mavericks forward Naji Marshall, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Donte DiVincenzo and Phoenix Suns wing Ryan Dunn, per Aronson . Podziemski just wrapped up his third season in the association, playing in all 82 games. The former Santa Clara Bronco averaged 13. 8 points on 45.
