Top-five transfer reveals Duke as one of his two 'favorite' schools

Yahoo Sports

The Blue Devils received good news Wednesday, as a top player in the transfer portal, Allen Graves declared Duke as one of his two favorite schools.

Throughout the offseason, the Duke Blue Devils have been linked to Allen Graves (Santa Clara), one of the top-five players in the transfer portal. Thus far, through the first three days of the 2026 NBA Draft Combine, Duke's chances of landing the forward seem to be increasing. Speaking with the media Wednesday, Graves voiced a preference to join the NBA as a first-round selection but did cite two possible schools if he were to return to school.

One of those schools was Duke, and the other was LSU. Additionally, Graves seems anything but a clear-cut first rounder at the moment. In a recent mock draft conducted by ESPN, Graves was projected to go No.

22 overall to the Philadelphia 76ers . However, that mock draft was released before the combine began. According to Mark Giannotto of USA Today, Graves was named one of the combine's losers after Tuesday's drills.

The 2025-26 WCC Sixth Man of the Year ranked outside of the top-50 in every agility drill and wasn't particularly impressive shooting the ball, going 12-for-30 off the dribble. If these early combine returns carry a lot of weight with NBA scouts, there's a chance that the Blue Devils could make a run at adding one more top transfer before the 2026-27 season.
