The Commanders selected WR Antonio Williams in the third round of the NFL draft. What is his realistic 2026 fantasy outlook, and how might his presence impact Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey? Don’t be surprised if Williams leads all Washington receivers in catches.

That doesn’t mean he’ll be a weekly fantasy starter. But it’s a pretty ideal situation for a capable rookie alongside nearly 31-year-old McLaurin and the enigmatic McCaffrey, both of whom had abridged seasons due to injuries. McLaurin’s WR23 ADP suggests the market believes he’s the sure-fire #1, as no other Commanders wideout is inside the top 70.

Managers fondly (or not-so-fondly, depending on whether they rostered him) recall McLaurin’s impressive 2024 campaign. But Jayden Daniels targeted him less than seven times per game. The key for McLaurin was 13 scores.

That’s not easily replicable. His advancing age is also a concern, as most #1 WRs begin noticeably (and at times, dramatically) declining in their early 30s. McCaffrey should be viewed as a nothing-to-lose wideout with an outside shot at putting it all together in Year 3.
