Tennessee hosted VCU big man Christian Fermin on a visit Wednesday

Downing-Imagn Images Tennessee’s search for the final pieces of the puzzle continued on Wednesday. Rick Barnes and the Volunteers, clearly in search of some post depth to round out the roster, hosted former VCU forward Christian Fermin on a visit in Knoxville. Fermin posted some pictures of the the visit on Instagram on Wednesday.
The 6-10 big man was a teammate of new Tennessee guard Terrence Hill Jr. over the past couple of seasons at VCU. Fermin appeared in just four games for the Rams this past season due to a personal matter.
He appeared in 86 games over the previous three seasons, operating as VCU’s rim protector. In his last full season (2024-25), Fermin averaged 4. 6 points, 3.
