Caitlin Clark says she deserved technical foul after yelling at referee

Caitlin Clark is known for her fierce competitiveness on the court. It got the best of her Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Sparks , and she's the first to admit that. The Indiana Fever star received a technical foul after yelling at an official heading into the halftime break.

It's unclear what exactly she was arguing, aside from general frustration with the officiating. Indiana got whistled for 24 personal fouls against the Sparks, and though it's an extremely small sample size, Stephanie White's team is committing the third most fouls per game at 24. 5.

While it can be frustrating in the moment, Clark believes the diligent officiating can eventually help the Fever. And she's aware she deserved the tech before halftime. "I think it's gonna even out," Clark said of the fouls .

"I think the refs are doing a tremendous job. I deserved the technical they gave me. But it's great for the game.
