PGA Championship leaderboard: Will Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy claim the Wanamaker Trophy this week at Aronimink?

The second major championship of the season is now underway at Aronimink, and the golf world is now officially chasing the Wanamaker Trophy. Scottie Scheffler is once again the betting favorite, and he’s entering the week with three straight runner-up finishes. He ran away with the tournament last year , too.

Reigning Masters champion Rory McIlroy, however, isn’t far behind him. Could this finally be the week that we get the Scheffler vs. McIlroy battle we’ve all been craving ?

Play started on Thursday morning at Aronimink Golf Club outside of Philadelphia, which is hosting the tournament for the first time since 1962. There will be plenty of moment throughout the opening round, but here’s a look at the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Championship: Updated as of 7:15 a. m.
