Draymond Green urges Goldne State to inquire about Kawhi Leonard
On an episode of "The Draymond Green Show," Draymond Green expressed his desire for the Warriors to acquire Kawhi Leonard.
Ever since the February trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors have been linked to adding another All-Star caliber player to aid two-time MVP Stephen Curry. Following the draft lottery, Warriors forward Draymond Green recommended that Golden State's front office should pursue Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers . "You talk about the Golden State Warriors, who have won championships; you have to look at the Los Angeles Clippers in the fifth spot and say, 'Huh, what are they going to do?
' Are they going to draft the fifth pick and put him next to Kawhi Leonard, or are they going to move Kawhi Leonard, try to get more draft assets, and start a rebuild? " After trades of Ivica Zubac and James Harden last season, all signs point to the Clippers beginning a full-scale rebuild. As Green mentioned, the No.
5 overall pick certainly helped Los Angeles on that front, but Golden State's No. 11 pick could supplement the rebuild further, giving them two lottery picks in what appears to be a loaded 2026 NBA Draft class.
