White will not require surgery , but Arteta has now made clear that the defender faces a significant spell on the sidelines. “It looks like a long term injury,” Arteta said. “At the moment the focus is when can we have him back, that is not going to happen in many many weeks.
” White’s absence is compounded by the situation with Jurrien Timber , who has been out since mid-March with a groin injury that has not responded as well as expected, leaving him struggling to return before the end of the season. He is a really important player for us and he’s doing everything he can to help the squad in any way possible. ” Riccardo Calafiori was also taken off against West Ham and remains a doubt for Monday’s game. “No, we don’t know if he’s going to be available, we have days ahead, hopefully it is nothing serious,” Arteta said.
