The Whaling City Youth Baseball League kicked off the 2026 season with and Opening Day ceremony and games on Sunday, May 3. Here's a look at the first week of game action from Brooklawn Park. Sunday, May 3 Amaral’s Linguica 3, Apex 1: Ben Bernardo made a statement in the first game of his final season by throwing a no-hitter.
He also went 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Wonder Bowl 16, NB Fire 4: Jayce Nova led Wonder Bowl, going 3-for-3, including a home run. Jheyden Rodrigues went 3-for-3 while Nyzaiah Caban added 2 hits.
Amari Azor, Colin Keagan, Anthony Torres, Leo Kelly and Kheyden Rodrigues contributed with a base hit each. Tony’s Auto 9, Table 8 3: Ayla Soares led Tony’s, going 3-for-3 on the day. Derek Dallaire, Bobby Seamans, Wesley Rodrigues and Maverick Gaskins each had a hit.
Derek Dallaire and Bobby Seamans combined on the mound to allow 3 runs while scattering 3 hits and striking out 15 batters. Isaac DaSilva led the Table 8 offense with 2 hits while Logan Cutler added a hit. Daves 12, Palace Pizza 0: Ben Pimental, Christian Vaz and Javriel Francis had 2 hits each to power Daves while Conor Santos and Miguel Selvina had 1 hit apiece.
