PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Daniella Bumber is headed to state in four events after a massive performance at the sectional meet Wednesday. The Henry-Senachwine senior won the 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters and anchored the winning 4×100 relay at the class 1A Farmington sectional.

Henry-Senachwine finished second to Mercer County in the team standings. Roanoke-Benson senior Bri Harms won the 300 hurdles and also qualified for state in the 100 hurdles and the 200 meters. The state meet starts next Thursday at Eastern Illinois University.

Eureka won the class 2A sectional at Metamora, beating runner-up Morton. Sophia Watson (800 meters) and Sierra Herman (3200 meters) posted sectional wins for the Hornets. In baseball, Camden Taylor pitched 6.

1 innings of scoreless ball and stuck out nine as Morton beat visiting Dunlap, 3-0. The Mid-Illini leading Eagles had their 10-game winning streak snapped but preserved a one-game lead in the conference race. Metamora pulled into a second-place tie with East Peoria after being the Raiders, 2-1, on Wednesday.
