American Fork held the lead firmly after scoring in each of the first four innings, while Farmington managed a brief rally with three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. Farmington’s Ryland Drollinger drove in three runs, going 1 for 2, but it wasn’t enough to catch up with American Fork’s consistent performance. The series now stands at 1-0 in favor of American Fork as they head into Game 2.

Mountain Ridge 7, Herriman 1 No. 2 Mountain Ridge capitalized on a five-run third inning to win 7-1 over No. 15 Herriman in Game 1 of the 6A Super Regionals.

Brody Garrard’s performance, going 2 for 4 with four RBIs, led the Sentinels offensively. Colby Claassen earned the win, striking out seven, while the Sentinels compiled 10 hits compared to Herriman’s four. Mountain Ridge leads the series 1-0 heading into Game 2.
