Fans, businesses already preparing for Eagles game in London
Philadelphia Eagles fans are already making their plans to see the team play in London this fall. The team announced Wednesday morning that it will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Soon after the news was shared, Stefanie Morgan, the president of The Green Legion, started receiving phone calls.
Her company organizes all kinds of experiences for Eagles fans, including travel packages for away games. "We make sure to do all of our research in the offseason, so when we do find out the date, we are ready to go," she told Action News.
Morgan estimates about a thousand fans will travel with her company for this game. It will be a repeat of their trip in October 2018, when the Birds beat the Jags at Wembley Stadium. Describing that trip, Morgan said, "Over a thousand people, non-stop partying and fun, exploring the city, experiencing everything that London has to offer.
We're hoping to do the same thing. " This game also presents a big opportunity for JP Teti and his team at Passyunk Avenue, a Philadelphia-themed bar that first opened in March 2018. "We were just finding our feet.
We were kind of catching on in London at that point as a little bit of a cult classic," Teti said. "And then, the Eagles came, and it was crazy. It was insanity, and we had to grow up quite quickly.
