Wednesday was full of high school sports action. Here's the rundown

The playoffs keep drawing near and games are getting more intense. Here are your results from all the high school games in Rhode Island on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

🥍Game of the Day The last time the La Salle girls lacrosse team was in a close game at halftime, things didn’t end well. Wednesday, they couldn’t have gone any better. Nursing a one-goal lead against Prout, the Rams came out determined to built upon a lead and did so in a hurry.

Goals came from all over and the small lead turned into a comfortable one thanks to 12 impressive minutes of play in the eventual 11-6 win over the Crusaders. Last week La Salle played one of its best halves of the season and trailed defending state champ Moses Brown 2-0 at the break before the Quakers opened up a can in the third quarter and rolled to a 10-3 win. Things were a little different Thursday with it being at home and emotions flying high on Senior Night, but the Rams had similar success with how their defense played and also had trouble finding consistency on the offensive end.

With Prout hyper-focused on slowing Lily Peters , the La Salle offense was built around the play of Ellsie Freitas , Morgan Dube , Rhyse Smith and Brinley Freitas . With the defense in control, it was the 12 minutes the Rams were looking for. The fourth quarter gave La Salle an opportunity to eat clock and get some other players out on the field, including backup goalie Sophie Owens , who made her first career save in net.
