Advertised for the show was Will Ospreay returning to the ring for the first time in three weeks to face Ace Austin, a six-woman tag match involving AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla, and the reveal of the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament brackets. The cherry on top, though, was another AEW World Championship defense from Darby Allin, who put the title on the line against Konosuke Takeshita after Kazuchika Okada was pulled from the match due to his tour in Japan.
