Report: Eagles at Bears set for Week 3 Monday Night Football clash

Yahoo Sports

Ryan Fowler reports the Eagles will visit the Bears in Week 3 on Monday Night Football after last season’s brutal Black Friday loss in Chicago.

We're hours away from the NFL's schedule-release show, but we already have confirmation of two prime-time games for the Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles will reportedly return to primetime in a massive early-season NFC showdown against the Chicago Bears . According to Ryan Fowler of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Philadelphia will travel to Chicago in Week 3 for a Monday Night Football matchup that immediately becomes one of the marquee games on the NFL calendar.

The game is a chance for Nick Sirianni's team to take revenge after an embarrassing Black Friday loss to Chicago last season, which exposed major issues on both sides of the ball. Just one week after blowing a 21-point lead against Dallas, Philadelphia was physically dominated by the Bears in one of the worst performances of the season. Chicago's offensive line overwhelmed the Eagles' defense throughout the afternoon, helping the Bears pile up 281 rushing yards and 425 total yards in a statement victory.

Ben Johnson's offense controlled the tempo from start to finish as Chicago improved to 9-3, owning the second-best record in the NFC at the time. A. J. Brown eclipsed 100 receiving yards, but Saquon Barkley was again bottled up, finishing with just 56 rushing yards on 13 carries.
