Sven Ulreich to stay in Munich with Manuel Neuer’s extension

However, a quiet move has also been made by the club to bolster the team’s depth. Sven Ulreich is reportedly being extended alongside Neuer as per reports from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg . While many were quick to see this as an effective move by the club to extend a key veteran, it is not so simple.

The club certainly doesn’t want the sort of situation that occurred earlier in the season, when Prescott almost started a Champions League match for Bayern while a string of key goalkeepers were injured.
