The Miami Dolphins have locked down their star running back, De'Von Achane, on a four-year extension.

While the Miami Dolphins moved on from several key veterans this offseason during the transfer of power from one regime to another, they've made it clear that a few players on the roster are building blocks for the future. On Wednesday, the Dolphins proved that with running back De'Von Achane, who was entering the final year of his rookie deal, by giving him a four-year extension ( via Jordan Schultz ). The new contract will pay him $68 million over four years with $32 million guaranteed.

At $17 million per year, Achane is now the third-highest-paid running back in the league behind Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey. Achane has rushed for 3,057 yards and 22 touchdowns on 5. 6 yards per carry and caught 172 passes for an additional 1,277 yards and 13 scores in his three seasons in the NFL.

The 24-year-old made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2025, and there's a strong chance that he makes more going forward.
