Patriots vs. Seahawks Super Bowl rematch to kick off 2026 NFL season
The Patriots will travel to Seattle in Week 1.

The NFLโs 2026 season opener will feature a Super Bowl LX rematch between the two teams. The game will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Seattleโs Lumen Field with the kickoff set for 8:20 p.

The season opener will take place roughly seven months removed from the Patriots and Seahawks capping off the 2025 season. Their Super Bowl meeting was a defensive affair early on, but Seattle was still able to jump to a 19-0 lead by the early fourth quarter. While Drake Maye and company showed some sporadic signs of life afterwards, the NFC champions kept the upper hand to secure a 29-13 victory.
