2024 Vikings Pick Set to Be the Odd Man Out

Late-rounders are never intended to be franchise-changers, but they should provide depth for a few years. One of those is 2024 sixth-rounder Walter Rouse, who joined the club in the same round as placekicker Will Reichard . The latter has been an excellent player for the franchise; the former has barely played and could see his journey end this summer.

He had a safe spot on the 53-man roster for 25 months, but the numbers work against him this year.
The Vikings added Ryan Van Demark in free agency, snatching the restricted free agent from the Buffalo Bills. He’s set to be the swing backup tackle for the upcoming season after starting six games in front of Josh Allen. Furthermore, the organization acquired Caleb Tiernan in the third round of last month’s draft.
