The World Cup is set to kick off on June 11, with Mexico taking on South Africa in the tournament's opening game at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Meanwhile, the Knicks are gearing up for the NBA Eastern Conference Finals, where they'll take on the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons series.

It should be noted, however, that the final three games are only played if required. Should the Knicks reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, New Yorkers could find themselves torn between competing events with the World Cup taking place on home soil.
