Malik Nabers underwent second surgery on knee, Giants still hopeful for opener
Malik Nabers underwent a second surgery on his left knee multiple weeks ago, according to numerous reports. The procedure which was to remove scar tissue that was causing some stiffness in his knee was described to reporters as more of a cleanup. Nabers’ recovery timeline isn’t expected to be effected.
The Giants are still hoping that he’ll be able to be back out there for the season opener against the Cowboys. Nabers, of course, underwent ACL and meniscus surgery last October. He is said to be progressing well on the road back to the field, but likely won’t do much during the early stages of the team’s offseason program.
Head coach John Harbaugh said on the first day of voluntary workouts that he expects him to get back out there deep into camp and closer to the season.
